我是黃隆翔，目前就讀台灣大學國際企業學系。過去3年來我參加過超過30場模擬聯合國會議，其中半數是作為主席，甚至主持過兩場國際模聯會議。甚至可以說我這幾年都貢獻給模聯了！很榮幸今年可以在台中市青年模擬聯合國會議擔任安全理事會的主席。我會把握這次機會給代表一場難忘的體驗！

I've been in this MUN community for at least 3 years and attended over 30 conference; you can even say that I basically devoted most of my high school life to MUN. 各位代表們好，我是翁立騰，目前就讀臺灣師範大學東亞學系一年級，目前已有將近四年的模聯經驗。很榮幸這次能夠以副主席的身份，參與臺中市青年模擬聯合國，我也期待能與各位代表在本次的會議中，為彼此的模聯生涯中創造獨一無二的回憶。

Greetings. I’m Thomas, currently a freshman at NTNU in the Department of East Asian Studies. It is my utmost honor and pleasure to serve as the UNSC Co-Chair of TCYMUN 2024. Model United Nations has been more than just an extracurricular activity for me. Over these four years, it has been a journey of growth and self-exploration. Each conference has gifted me with unforgettable delightful experiences and a deepened understanding of the world as well as myself. As we gather here, I am filled with anticipation that this conference, rather than being just an event on your calendar, will inspire your lasting enthusiasm for MUN and become memorable for both of us.

我的名字是王雋宇，目前是國立成功大學物理系的二年級生。近來，我在台中女中、台中一中與明道模擬聯合國擔任主席，將來也會於中台灣模擬聯合國擔任學術長。模擬聯合國算是兩年來我投注最多心力的興趣，透過它我能夠用他人的視角去觀察這個世界。我希望我能夠將我對模聯的興趣帶給我的代表們！

My name is Christopher. I am currently a sophomore enrolled at Cheng Kung University Physics Department. Recently, I’ve chaired at TCGSMUN, TransMUN, and MDMUN and I will be serving as the Director of Academics at CENTMUN. MUN has been one of my most devoted hobbies in these two years. Through MUN I can explore the world from others’ perspectives. I also want to bring the fun of MUN to all of my delegates!

代表們好，我是段律言，就讀於VIS國際實驗教育二年級。相較其他主席豐富的資歷，我入模聯的時間只有半年。但這段時間中，我看過了百次日初。早起的原因常是生啃聯合國、認知心理和數學。

當代表時，貼在我身上的榮譽無法遮掩自卑。我厭惡自己的無知。跛腳的野獸希望不再被獵人的箭傷到；遲鈍的人希望不再被自己的腦袋受限。

I may sound emo in my Chinese introduction so let me reintroduce myself. Hey, I’m Marco! It is my greatest pleasure to serve as your co-chair in GA1. A year ago, I sparked interest in cognitive science, the study of explaining “how the mind works” through the lens of psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, anthropology, artificial intelligence, and philosophy. Specifically, I was interested in language. Language is a precious gift that we have taken for granted. We often forget the remarkable ability to intricately shape events in each other's brain with exquisite precision. My realization came from my MUN journey. The richness of political implications delivered through a couple words filled me with awe. I am shocked by the fact that a single clause in the resolution could dismantle decades of effort by numerous nations when I first attended TCMUN 2024. That’s all to know about me. What about you? Lets meet at TCYMUN to have a great conversation!

我是劉諼，目前就讀國立臺灣師範大學。過去四年裡，我曾參與國內外多場會議，也擔任過會議籌辦的角色。2023年，身為臺中市青年模擬聯合國的主席團一員，我發現此會議深具啟發性，帶領更多的中學生成為更具國際視野的世界公民。今年很榮幸能擔任經濟及社會理事會的主席，期待大家可以在本次會議跳脫舒適圈，得到收穫，並創造一次難忘的模擬聯合國經歷。

My name is Iris, currently studying at NTNU. Over the past four years, I have participated in numerous conferences, and have also been involved in organizing MUN conferences. In 2023, as a member of the Dais team for the Taichung City Youth Model UN, I found this conference to be highly inspiring, helping to guide more high schoolers to become global citizens with a broader international perspective. This year, I am honored to serve as the Chair of the ECOSOC, and I look forward to seeing everyone step out of your comfort zones, gain valuable insights, and create an unforgettable MUN experience.

大家好，我是畢業於臺北市私立再興中學的洪丞緯，曾擔任再興模聯社第十四屆的社長，是個即將進入大學生活的大一生！我從國中起即開始參與模擬聯合國活動，也從會議代表、社團教學、會議主席等模聯不同身分的淬煉中獲得了很多很寶貴的經驗，也抱有極大的熱忱擔任這次TCYMUN主席團的職務（希望有機會和大家分享）！對我而言，模擬聯合國活動應開放給所有對於國際公共事務感興趣的人們，很高興TCYMUN提供一個對新手友善的平台，讓大家能夠互動交流，而我很榮幸能擔任此次會議副主席一職。在模聯之外的活動，我也喜愛參與辯論比賽、看棒球、旅遊、品嚐美食，對於不同國家的民俗風情也相當喜愛。期盼能在會議中和大家相遇！

Hello, mate! I am Chadwick, who just finished his exhausting yet unforgettable high school journey, and it is my utmost honor to serve as the co-chair of this year’s TCYMUN. In this English introduction section, I would like to share my observations concerning the current MUN community. My experience in MUN is difficult to embody in a single sentence, as there have been ups and downs, or more precisely, old challenges solved and new challenges unsolved. As people say, MUN is an academic event where you can perform your understanding of global affairs, and knowledge to become a well-rounded delegate. However, MUN is way much more than that. From academic fields to activities, from informative bloc leaders to influential public speakers, from competent coordinators to social event hi-ca（嗨咖）, to me, these are the genuine components that MUNers can learn from each other. Although I represented the dais team at the conference, there is still a lot I have to improve on. Honestly speaking, I am also a learner. Here is my last remark: Don't be afraid to make mistakes! Hope to see you guys at the conference!

嗨！我是陳孟軒，今年是我參加模聯的第四年。四年來，我前前後後以不同的角色參與了近15場會議，如同在會議場上扮演著不同的國家代表一樣，每場會議皆帶給了我不同的啟發與感觸，我很享受模聯引領著我探索未知的過程，也很喜歡在這裡遇到的一切。

很榮幸能夠在今年的TCYMUN以主席的身分服務各位。期盼代表們能在這場會議中探索自己、探索未知、探索世界。

Hi! My name is Kevin, and it’s my forth year participating in Model-UN. Over the past four years, I’ve taken on various roles in nearly 15 conferences. Just like representing different countries in each conference, every experience has provided me with unique insights and inspiration. I thoroughly enjoy the journey of exploration that Model-UN leads me on and appreciate everything I’ve encountered in this field.

我是涂祐嘉，一位甫從師大附中畢業的準大一生。從代表、主席、到社團的職責、會議的主辦方，在模聯的我經歷過不同身分的挑戰，但使我留下的動機是持續學習和探索知識的熱忱，相信投注的努力會在日後成為改變自己、甚至及於他人的養分。請在這裡－一個已汰去語言隔閡的區域盡力的發揮出所有潛力；我相信，模擬聯合國會啟發出專屬於你的個人價值。

I am Eric(TYC), a prospective freshman who just graduated from the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University(HSNU, a long name though), and it’s my privilege to serve you as one of the dais team of TCYMUN2024. MUN, to me, is a community with its unique significance. On the face of it, MUN holds my high school belongings (i.e., my friendships) and countless memories; but it can mean more than that. It’s a place where we step out of our comfort zone (and might once be too arrogant and overconfident), then understand our shortcomings, adjust our mindset, and ultimately become one that we never dreamed of. It would be a cliché to continue to point out all the advantages, so how about just joining us, departing this journey, and challenging your limits? I hope we can meet in TCYMUN 2024 and create an unforgettable experience altogether.

大家好我是陳世勳，目前就讀臺北市私立再興中學高中三年級。雖然我們沒有公立高中的豐富資源和自由校風，但我們擁有一位經驗「非常」豐富的社師和友愛的社內關係。我從模聯新手逐漸成長為學術「尚可」的會議主席，並重拾圈內消失已久的友善與尊重。推動學術與討論是因為主席團的責任，然而盲目追求極致學術是部分模聯人愚昧的觀念。平衡學術、交流與協調，才是模擬聯合國真正的價值所在。最後，很榮幸成為這次會議的主席團，相信能為你們帶來美好模聯回憶。

Dear delegates, my name is Danny Chen from Tsai-Hsing High School in Taipei. Over the past two years in Model United Nations, my knowledge and speaking abilities have grown significantly. After participating in 15 conferences, I now stand before you as your chair. However, my journey in MUN has not been smooth. The lack of a supportive environment for newcomers has always been a challenge, making it harder for them to grow. WorldMUN Procedure, which centers on discussion, often provides a stage for knowledgeable and experienced delegates to assert their superiority without considering how to share their insights and skills more openly with others. This sense of superiority, along with delays and unfriendliness within the MUN community, is, in my opinion, a major reason why MUN in Taiwan has not flourished. Although I have not been in the MUN community for long, and my direct approach may have caused some dissatisfaction, I remain committed to one unchanging value: I do not need to please others; I only need to uphold the right principles and prevent others from violating these core values. When participating in MUN, I constantly remind myself that a wrong action does not become right just because everyone does it, and doing the right thing does not become wrong simply because it offends those who undermine these values. Last but not least, it’s my utmost honor to become your chair in TCYMUN and hopefully will enjoy a perfect MUN experience.

各位代表們，大家好！我是邱泓鈞，很榮幸能擔任這次TCYMUN的副主席。一年前，我的第一次模聯經驗也是在TCYMUN，當時的體驗讓我對模聯充滿好奇與熱忱。
